Our Charity Initiatives

Inter - Cultural Exchanges

CT promotes and encourages acts of charity and benevolence, and, creates an opportunity for inter-cultural exchanges and active participationwith other organizations in the USA with similar or mutual interest”. Overthe years, KACT has established a name for itself by donating to various local charities, while also doing its part to engage with thelocal community in sharing the culture, traditions, food, and art forms of the State of Kerala.

Charity Donations

We thank our members for their support in our sincere effort to serve the local charities. As part of our community outreach program, KACT is organizing groups of children to volunteer their time with local charities. The fi rst suchengagement was completed on June 21, 2014. A group of six children (along with 3 adult supervisors) spent the morning at Varney Farms in SouthWindsor. Varney farms is a Foodshare partner, and all the produce from the farm goes to Foodshare, which is a member of Feeding America. Our youngvolunteers attacked the tasks assigned to them with a zeal and gusto that would make any seasoned farmer proud (see pictures right). So much so thatthey fi nished early. From all accounts, they are raring to go for the next round, which will be scheduled soon.
